FRESHMAN BAND NOTES:
All 9th grade students should signup for one of the following classes:

BAND I (#1302300)
This covers Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Wind Ensemble The Band Director has final approval for placement in the various ensembles. Wind Ensemble is by audition only. Private instruction is strongly encouraged to be considered for Wind Ensemble.

Instrumental Technique (#1302420):
This is a percussion technique class for all percussion students. Percussion students should sign up for the first semester. These students will be placed by the Band Director into Concert, Symphonic or Wind Ensemble for the second semester.

Eurhythmics I: (#1305300) (Encore/Guard)
Meets graduation requirement for Performing Fine Arts.
The purpose of this course is to enable students to develop basic skills in creating, performing, and evaluating choreographed performances as an independent ensemble and in cooperation with the marching band. Emphasis is placed on dance, equipment manipulation, precision, and the relationship between music and dance.


All the groups  come together this summer to form the Oviedo Marching Lion Band.
